James Brow

A Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and qualified accountant, James joined the Gillies McIndoe Foundation Board in May 2025.

His early financial career in New Zealand and London included treasury trading for a US Investment bank and corporate banking management for a French bank. He then owned and managed several private businesses based in Wellington, including 15 years as managing director of the Australasian distributor for one of the world’s largest pet food brands. In more recent times, his focus has been on governance - mostly within the Todd Group here in Wellington, but also including local businesses and the Scots College Foundation.
